Making Metals For Export To Asia
One thing a big recession will do for companies is make them nimble. Able to turn on a dime to make a buck. I humbly submit this graphic example of how American manufacturers can prevail in the economy we have. Not the one we used to have or wish to have.
This is a shot from where I work in southern California. The metal being made is an alloy of silver, copper and zinc that will be sold in Asia. It will be mixed with 24kt gold there to make jewelry in Asia for re export all over the world. What you see here in this shot will become thousands of rings in 14kt.
The economy improves despite the GOP. Despite the other challenges so far. Hype what is wrong with our economy all ya want. But at the end of the day we are moving on, dealing with the global market in fine competitive fashion.
